FEBRUARY SALE A BRATION BLOG HOP

Hello there everyone. Hope this finds you all well. It's that time of the month again where we all get together and have our blog hop. This time is exciting because our theme is our fantastic SALE A BRATION catalogue.

 I have made a selection of 4 easy cards for you to see. The first one is made using the Fresh Vintage and Outlined Occasions stamp sets, the DSP Everyday Enchantment and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack. Looks pretty cool don't you think?

For Number 2 I've used Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizazz and Poppy Parade cardstock, Everyday Enchantment DSP, Poppy Parade and Soft Suede ink, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, various punches, Crystal Effects and Pearl Jewels.  Again very easy but looks nice.

No 3 is made using Wisteria Wonder Cardstock, Elementary Elegance and Fresh Vintage Stamp sets, Concord Crush Ink and ribbon, Versa Marker, DSP, Rhinestone Jewles and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  Once again, simple, but effective.

Last, but not least I used Whisper White and Island indigo Cardstock, Island Indigo ink and DSP Paper Stack and ribbon and Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack and Pearl Jewels to finish it off.

YET ANOTHER ENGAGEMENT CARD

Hi again everyone

Boy we've had a busy time with engagements and weddings since Christmas.  This time it is one of Laura's best friends, Bec and Ryan.  They plan to marry next January and Laura is to be one of the bridesmaids.

SPECIAL CARDS

Hi again everyone.

This time I have made a special card for a very good friend who has just become the Nanna to TRIPLETS.  3 beautiful girls were born 6 weeks ago and finally joined their parents at home last weekend.  Here is the card I made for Charlotte, Grace and Sophia to go with their gift.

Pink Pirouette ans Whisper White was the cardstock used with Scallop Border Trim, Lace Ribbon Border  and scallop circle punches and Letter It stamp set.  Pearls and ribbon and emboss finished it off. 

How wonderful to make a card for 3 such special babies.  They were all just over 3 pounds born at 32 weeks and at 6 weeks old they weighed between 4.5 and 5 pounds.  So good to have such a wonderful story to tell.

Sad card this time....

On 7th February the world lost one very special young lady. She was only 31 years old and passed away suddenly from an acute attack of asthma. Very, very sad funeral. She has left behind a loving partner, family and many friends. RIP Gill. You will never be forgotten by those who knew you.
Here is a special Sympathy card I made. I just couldn't bring myself to a 'quiet, morbid' card. It had to be full of flowers and butterflies and all beautiful things.

I used Shimmery White and Baja Breeze Cardstock, Paisley Petals DSP, various punches and big shot dies and some gorgeous pearl 'ribbon' I have had for a long time waiting for something special to use it on.  Also used Frost White Shimmer Paint.

Sale a Bration

Hi there

Well, AT LAST I have used my gorgeous Sale a Bration stamps.  I've been very pushed for time and ideas with this house move and haven't been very busy in the craft room at all except sorting things out and trying to find my stuff.  (Still some missing!!)

We have 2 special friends who have just become engaged so decided to use FRESH VINTAGE as my main 'centrepiece'.

On the first card I used Very Vanilla cardstock, Beau Chateau DSP, Marina Mist, and Crumb Cake as my colours.  Seam Binding ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects and an Antique Brad make a nice finish don't you think?  Stamp on front is from the A Word for You set.

Inside is Top Note and Letter It.  Simple but elegant card.

On the second card I used Whisper White, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz cardstock and inks and Paisley Petals DSP.  Again I used the young couple's initials as a special touch inside the card.

WOW have I surprised you!  Another post already.   Hope you like these cards and they give you some ideas.

I'll try and keep posting regularly as I have promised myself I have to do so hopefully I'll see you here again very soon.

KEEPING PROMISES.....

Hi again everyone.

Hope you all enjoyed our blog hop.  Thanks to those who left comments.  Hope you all got ideas from all of our wonderful creations.

As in my New Year Resolution, my promise was to post more regularly so here we go......

We had my Auntie and Uncle's 70th (yes, 70th) Wedding Anniversary celebrations on Sunday.  (They were married Christmas Eve but left their celebrations til now).  Unfortunately my auntie hasn't enjoyed the best of health recently but left hospital to attend.  Lovely afternoon had by all even though it was SO HOT.

Here's the card I made for them.  (Inside was Top Note sponged with crumb cake and marina mist stamped flowers - I had already written on it before I thought of taking a photo!  DUH!!!)

Also decided new house was reasonably tidy and looking more like OUR house so decided to take some photos of that too....so here it is....Lots to do yet re new furniture and pictures on walls etc. but we're getting there.

 

Pictures are lounge, dining room. kitchen and then views from kitchen bay windows.  Very bright and open.  Pool added extra and it's been lovely and well used over the past week or so.

SUMMER MINI CATALOGUE JANUARY BLOG HOP

Well, it's been a rush, but here I am. 

Hi everyone.  Hope this finds you all well and happy.  Welcome and Hi to those who have started our blog hop here or come from the fabulous KATHRYN RUDDICK'S blog.  As you know, our lovely summer mini catalogue has been going since December 1 and goes through to 31st March so here's some great ideas made by our team to give you ideas of what you can do with the great products.

I have made a card using the stamp set The Open Sea on page 18.  Wooden is $49.95 and clear is $39.95.  Makes a fantastic masculine card.  I have teamed it with DSP Nautical Expedition, page 19, $18.95; Bakers Twine (Cherry Cobbler and White) page 19, $4.95 and used Basic Grey, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Early Expresso Cardstock and inks and also Vanilla Shimmer Smootch Spritz and Crystal Effects.  Makes a nice male card don't you think.

Next I decided to use the gorgeous Fabulous Florets Stamp Set on page 14.  Wooden is $44.95 and clear is $35.95.  I've teamed it this time with DSP Beyond the Garden, page 15, $18.95; Melon Mambo Emboss powder page 15, $8.95; Embossing Folder Flower Garden, page 15, $14.95; Triple Layer Punch, page 17, $44.95  and used Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstock and Wild Wasabi ink and marker.  I've used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  I've added Melon Mambo Scallop Dot ribbon and used the Big Shot to make a flower using Fun Flowers.  A flower brad and some dazzling diamonds completes the page.  Again, a nice, easy project using quite a few of the products from the mini.  For some reason the colours aren't perfect here, but I assure you the Wild Wasabi background looks great - not as washed out as on here.  Photo taken in good lighing and everything.  Sorry about this.

New Beginnings for 2012

Hi everyone,

Well, it's been ages since I was last on my blog as you can see.  So much has happened since then. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season and are now enjoying our summer weather. 

My New Year resolution is to post much more often, even if I waffle on about nothing sometimes, but just to be able to regularly post would make me very happy.

We went to Newcastle to see our son, DIL and grandchildren before Christmas, had the family Christmas at our place, (got flooded out with severe storms in the afternoon!), had NYE at our place with friends and then moved house on 13th Jan!!!!  Been a busy few weeks.  Well, we've been here 10 days now and it's starting to look like home.  New carpets laid last Thursday so we have been able to put the furniture in properly and unpack boxes.  Actually started to sort out my craft room yesterday which is great.  Quite happy now.  Never wanted to leave our old place where we had the small acreage and our horses were virtually looking over our garden fence but I have to admit I LOVE this house and atm the horses are at our old next door neighbours only 3 minutes away so we can regularly check them.  They will be moving further away in a couple of weeks to a more permanent agistment place and that will be harder.  Like my animals around me.  My 5 chickens were packed into boxes and came with us.  Poor girls had their feathers ruffled!

I packed all my stamping stuff up as soon as I finished making my last Christmas card and it's like Christmas again opening everything and putting it back into place.  (well trying to find where it came from originally).

NOVEMBER BLOG HOP - CHRISTMAS THEME

Well, here it is, less than a month to go before another Christmas Day.  Where has the year gone?
Welcome everyone.  If you have joined me here it's nice to know you have visited me, if you have come from the lovely  SUE MADEX's  blog, welcome too.  It's lovely to know you take the time to look at our blogs at this busy time of year.  Any comments you may wish to leave are much appreciated.

This blog is a last minute one this time.  It's 10pm Friday 25th November.  I have just come home from a Craft Market in Ringwood.  Very busy day and quite a good night.  What, between getting organised for the market, sending Christmas cards to our friends in America, trying to get my blog done and attempting to pack for our house move in January, life is very hectic at the moment.  I hate leaving this til the last minute, but that's the way it goes this month.  I hope you enjoy my contribution to our Christmas hop.

This time I've chosen to use our Simply Sent set called Everyday Elegance (122377) on page 137 of the Catalogue.  These are wonderful value sets giving you the materials for 8 lovely cards for $19.95 including envelopes. 

As you can see, you get 2 different designs and the suggested colours are Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

Here's my interpretation of the packs with only a few added extras.

This one was obviously using Baja Breeze.  I've added the Stitched Stockings stamp set (123784   $42.94 Clear) and (123798   $53.95 Wood), and the Stocking Tag Builder Punch (124095)  $33.95.  Both these items are on Page 9 of our brand new Summer Mini catalogue and sales have been brought forward for them so you can use them in your Christmas Creations. 

I've also added the leaves from the Bird Builder Punch  (117191  page 153,  $33.95), Pearl Jewels (119247  page 142  $9.50),  Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755  page 144  $7.50) together with Dazzling Diamonds  (102023  page 145  $8.50) and Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon  (122331  page 139  $12.95) and Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon  (109025  page 139  $10.95).  The greeting stamp is from the  Teeny Tiny Sentiments set  (page 105   119185  $62.95 Wooden and 120024  $46.95 for Clear) and Baja Breeze Ink.  Gorgeous don't you think?  And it was just SO easy......

This next one was with the Cherry Cobbler card and I used the Stitched Stockings and Stocking Tag Builder Punch again and the same Teeny Tiny Sentiment greeting, but I've used Cherry Cobbler Ink, Rhinestone Jewels  (119246  page 142  $9.50) and Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon  (109070  page 139  $12.95).  Again, gorgeous, different and just SO easy.

Here they are together and here's the main products I used to make them altogether.....

Here's another card I made using the Stitched Stockings and Stocking Tag Builder Punch.  I've used Pear Pizazz and Blushing Bride cardstock, and Letters to Santa DSP  (122349  page  122349  $18.95).  Add a little Dazzling Diamonds, Rhinestone Jewel and Crystal Effects, and you've got another easy Christmas Card.  This stamp set and punch is the greatest thing to use to make quick and easy Christmas cards.

CHINESE WHISPERS BLOG HOP

Hi everyone

This is a blog hop with a difference.....

We've had a bit of fun in our Forum lately with a round of Chinese Whisper cards.  This is where one person makes a card and emails a photo of it to the next person and that person has to case it as closely as possible.  We had no idea what was the original card or what ended up as changes as it worked it''s way down the list of participating ladies.  A great fun way to have a play.  We're going to do it again soon, so look out for another blog hop with a difference.

You would have come from Sue Madex's blog to get here as she was before me on the list.  I was number 8.  Here's my version of the card.  I cased mine from Amanda Hill.

I used the beautiful Elements of Style stamp set, Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake,  Always Artichoke cardstock and ink, Black Stazon ink and Watercolour paper.  Scallop Trim Border, Large Oval, and the now retired Designer Label punches were used together with the Square Lattice embossing folder, spritzer to give a splash of colour, and tied with Linen Thread.  To finish this card I watercoloured the stamp using  Watercolour Wonder Crayons and added some Dazzling Diamonds for bling.

This card was made in record time.  My name was pushed up the list so I could participate before we left to go on holidays.  I had literally 20 minutes spare to make and send it on to the next person on the list.  Quite happy with the result, considering.
